TOOL # 1 BLOG

It was fairly simple as the instructions were given.  With students you would need to go much slower.    It can be used as a question and answer during science inquiry or problem solving that would hopefully create more questions.  Students would enjoy using this instead of journals. I might also use it as communication between a group of students reading the same science book.  Initially, the teacher would have to allow plenty of time and then guide the students through the process.  Hopefully, they will become more independent quickly. Using blogs should open up communication between students.  Many of our ESL students are timid when having to answer out loud.  This would provide them with a voice.
